The SCC Foundation Helps with Financial Aid
SCC students compete for a variety of scholarships funded by the Spartanburg Community College Foundation. The availability and amount of the scholarships vary from year to year depending on the amount of funds donated. The scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of academic achievement, financial need as determined by federal regulations, leadership qualities, community activities, honors, and awards.
If financial need is an award requirement, the student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), release the FAFSA to SCC, and have a completed financial aid file by the scholarship deadline. Specific award descriptions and eligibility requirements are below and also available in A Guide to Financial Aid, Veterans Affairs & Scholarships.
