New Semester, New Badge
SCC will implement Access Control for all campus locations on August 5, 2024. Access Control is an electronic door access security system determining who can access a building, room, or specific area. This is a way to keep our faculty, staff, and students safe. What You Need to Know
You will be receiving a new SCC ID in one of the following ways.
- New students will receive a new student ID during the Admissions process or during New Student Orientation.
- For Spartanburg (Giles) Campus or Downtown Campus based students, you can pick up
your ID badge at the Spartanburg (Giles) Campus Police Department, 24/7.
- Online students can also pick up their ID from Spartanburg (Giles) following the same details above.
- For Tyger River Campus based students, you can pick up your ID badge on Monday – Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m or Friday 7:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. from Officer Ricky Blanton in Room 203 at Tyger River's Campus.
- For Cherokee County Campus based students, you can pick up your ID badge during normal operating hours from Cherokee's Student Services, Rm 122. IDs will also be available Monday-Thursday from 5-11pm in Student Services. (This means more than 50% of your classes are held at the Cherokee County Campus.)
- For Union County Campus based students, you can pick up your ID badge during normal operating hours from the Administrative Assistant on-site at our Union Campus. (This means more than 50% of your classes are held at the Union Campus.)
- New employees will receive a new ID badge during their onboarding processing.
- Current Employees: Please note that your current ID card will work with Access Control. A new card is not needed at this time. If you have issues with access, please visit Human Resources.
